Cazoo Open

The Cazoo Open was once again supported by global football superstar Gareth Bale when Callum Shinkwin became our latest tour champion on The Twenty Ten Course from 4th-7th August 2022.

Bale, who has made  more than 100 appearances for Wales, is an avid golf fan and an honorary member at Celtic Manor where he has played for Team Wales in the Celebrity Cup.

Celtic Manor has staged the Cazoo Open 17 times and former winners include Ryder Cup stars Paul McGinley, Paul Lawrie, Ian Poulter, Robert Karlsson, Miguel Angel Jiménez, Graeme McDowell and Alex Noren.

This year, Englishman Callum Shinkwin won his second DP World Tour title when he eased to a four-stroke victory over Scotland's Connor Syme.

As well as thrilling finishes, the event has also seen a close shave with the European Tour's first ever round of 59 (Phillip Archer 2006), one player scoring two holes in one on the same hole (Elliot Saltman on the 17th, 2011), and the European Tour's record longest ever drive of 447 yards (Nicolas Colsaerts on the 18th, 2014).
