Celtic Manor Resort Wins For Service and Sustainability at 59 Club Service Excellence Awards

The Celtic Manor Resort is celebrating winning prestigious golf awards for the quality of its customer service and its commitment to sustainability at the prestigious 59 Club Awards

A Celebration of Excellence

Celtic Manor was one of only a dozen golf resorts in the UK and Ireland to win Gold Flag status at the 59club Service Excellence Awards, recognising venues that consistently deliver outstanding service standards and first-class facilities to their members and guests.

Leisure Membership Consultant Megan Davey also celebrated individual success at the 59club event, winning the Leading Individual Leisure Membership Sales Performance after achieving the highest score in a mystery shopper customer service assessment.

In a separate ceremony for the Wales Golf Awards, sponsored by Toptracer, Celtic Manor won the Sustainability Project of the Year accolade after achieving the industry leading GEO (Golf Environment Organisation) Certification for all its golf courses and operations during 2025.

Efforts to protect habitats and encourage biodiversity were rewarded with the first sighting of an otter on the waters of the Twenty Ten Course in November, as well as the harvesting of the first honey produced by the 300,000 bees who are kept in hives above the Twenty Ten Course.

“GEO Certifications are hard to get, they set a high bar, so to get two in one year takes some doing, especially covering three courses and all the land around them. Congratulations to Environment and Ecology Stewardship Manager Gary Connell, along with Director of Golf Courses and Estates, Jim McKenzie MBE, for all they have contributed to this effort.”
