Celtic Manor Resort turns Blue Monday into Feel Good Monday

To beat the winter weariness and turn Blue Monday on its head, the five-star Celtic Manor Resort has unveiled a new Welcome to Feel Good initiative, which places wellbeing at the centre of the guest experience in 2026.

The Feel Good Concept

With Google searches for “winter blues” rising by 20% over the past week, the campaign lifts the gloom associated with Blue Monday and reflects growing interest in wellness-led travel.

As the world feels more disconnected, Welcome to Feel Good prioritises the need for togetherness with loved ones, family and friends to create uplifting moments and memories. Guests are invited to rediscover the joy of travel, the warmth of legendary hospitality, and the freedom to simply be themselves.

Nestled among the rolling hills of the Usk Valley in South Wales, the award-winning Celtic Manor Resort offers the ideal setting to capture the spirit of freedom and wellbeing essential to Feel Good. As well as the five-star hotel, the Resort’s stunning Hunter Lodges offer even more space to relax and unwind.

The Forum Spa offers the perfect winter retreat, while the Ryder Cup-host Twenty Ten golf course and activities like axe throwing, archery and high ropes keep the adventurous entertained. Award-winning dining ranges from Asian-inspired dishes at PAD, created with MasterChef finalist Larkin Cen, to signature steaks with sweeping countryside views at Steak on Six.

Guests looking to treat themselves to a night at the Resort can choose from a range of rooms and suites, with prices starting from £139 for bed and breakfast. Hunter Lodges, which each accommodate up to 8 adults, start from £517 per night.

Highlights of Feel Good at Celtic Manor Resort. Including the resort’s Head of Service Excellence Rob Hookham, aka the new ‘Head of Feel Good’.

“Welcome to Feel Good is about helping our guests get the most out of their time with us – whether that’s through rest, connection or simply enjoying the beauty of slowing down and living intentionally.

“Blue Monday is often described as the most depressing day of the year, but we’re inviting people to flip that narrative and swap it for a Feel Good Day instead. I’ll be popping up around the Resort from Feel Good Day onwards, offering guests surprise treats to enhance their stays and our Feel Good Ambassadors will be doing all they can to make guest experiences that little bit more special.”
