  • British Sandwich Week 14th - 20th May

    Who doesn’t love a big juicy BLT, or a classic cheese and chutney? Celebrate your sandwich appreciation, or obsession, with our special week of British favourites in Merlins Bar.

  • National Fish & Chip Day - 31st May - 2nd June

    Our chefs really love a challenge, so we’re delighted to invite you to join in the fun as The Grill, Newbridge on Usk, Rafters, The Rib and Merlins Bar all go head to head presenting their own unique take on the ultimate British classic.

    Which of our culinary teams will win the coveted award for ‘Best Fish and Chips’? You decide!

  • National BBQ Week 1st - 3rd June

    The arrival of summer signals the start of sizzle season, and we’ll be firing up our own Rooftop Garden barbecue in extravagant fashion with this three day celebration. 

    Arrive on a summer’s evening to an alfresco welcome drink on the terrace, then take your seats to enjoy an exceptional BBQ grill-fest complete with live music.

  • Newbridge Beer Pairing Dinner - 15th June

    Join us for a fabulous beer-lover’s evening at the Newbridge on Usk, experiencing a hand-picked selection of local craft ales from award-winning Welsh brewery, Tiny Rebel.

    Guests will enjoy a moreish selection of canapés on arrival, followed by an exceptional three course menu specially created for the occasion by chef Adam Whittle.  This unique evening offers the chance to try some of this Newport-based brewery’s finest creations, hand-picked to perfectly complement each dish and introduced to you by our knowledgeable Tiny Rebel guest host, Alice.

  • The Grub Kitchen Pop-Up - 18th - 24th June

    Grub’s up at Newbridge! It’s time to sink your teeth into something innovative, exciting and deliciously different.

    We’ll be celebrating National Insect Week by bringing you an amazing and unique pop-up experience at the Newbridge on Usk, in partnership with The Grub Kitchen, Pembrokeshire.

    Experience the ‘wonder food of the future’ as Chef Andy Holcroft turns high protein critters into flavoursome creations with amazing nutritional benefits.

    The Grub Kitchen’s philosophy promotes sustainable local produce combined with the practice of eating insects, or ‘entomophagy’. Their aim is to turn bug-munching from novelty to normality, introducing our British palates to the many delicious and nutritious edible insects, adding a twist to the dining experience.

    Alongside innovative insect dishes with mind-blowing flavour combinations, diners at our prickly pop-up can also enjoy delicious craft beers and insect-based cocktails.

    This festive season join our fabulous culinary team for a Christmas cookery demonstration with a difference.

    Prepare to impress your family and friends with our tips and ideas for fabulous festive entertaining, showcased for you in a live demonstration by our award-winning chefs, followed by a three course gourmet lunch with accompanying wines at Steak on Six.
