Please Read: 'Firebreak' Lockdown in Wales
Following the latest guidance from the Welsh Government regarding a two-week firebreak lockdown in Wales, we have had to temporarily close the Celtic Manor Resort, Manor House, Newbridge on Usk and Tŷ Hotel Magor, along with the Hunter Lodges, all restaurants, bars, spas, golf courses, activities and leisure facilities. We will reopen on Monday 9th November 2020, unless government guidance changes.
Our contactless Celtic at Home takeaway service remains open and can be ordered as part of your essential grocery shopping.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this enforced temporary closure as we follow the Welsh Government’s instructions to protect our NHS and save lives. We will continue to update this page with the latest information and updates.
The Coldra Court Hotel remains open for the provision of emergency accommodation only for people who are homeless or key workers provided under contract to the Local Authority or a Health body. It will serve room service dinner and breakfast only.

Trace & Protect
Help us to trace & protect
In accordance with COVID-19 Government guidelines, all visitors are required to register their contact details with us before entering any facility within our properties including restaurants and bars, activities, health clubs, spas and retail outlets.
This is quick and easy to do by scanning the QR code on display at the entrance to each venue with your phone, and completing a short online registration form.
If you are visiting as a group of two or more, only the lead member needs to do this on behalf of the whole group.
We appreciate your help to keep everyone safe and thank you for your cooperation.
From Monday 14th September, and in line with Welsh Government regulations, face coverings must be worn in all indoor public spaces within the Celtic Collection.
Face coverings may be removed when seated to eat and drink in bars and restaurants, when using the health club gyms and pools, and when enjoying a spa treatment.
For guidance, here are key examples of when guests will need to wear a face covering:
- Upon arrival and check-in and when making your way to your room
- When using any corridors, lifts and stairways
- When making your way from your room to one of our restaurants, bars, or other facilities
- In the Celtic Mall shopping area
- When sitting in the lobby or another public area, and not eating or drinking
- When checking out and departing the hotel
- When making your way through golf clubhouses, pro shops and the golf academy, including when hitting balls and having lessons on the academy driving range, as this is an enclosed space
Please be mindful that there are some circumstances and health exemptions where guests may not be required to wear a face covering, and that the reasons for this may not always be visible.
We thank you for your co-operation

In order to keep physical interaction between our guests and team members to a minimum, stayover cleans for multiple nights’ occupancy are offered on a request basis only and guests must vacate the room whilst it is cleaned.

All guests will be advised on the need to practise social distancing from other guests and our team members throughout their stay. There will be visual reminders of this requirement in all appropriate places.
Elevators should only be occupied by guests staying in the same room at any one time. Disinfectant and wipes will be available to clean elevator buttons between users.
Use of staircases will be encouraged as an alternative with designated staircases for upward and downward travel.
Where possible, we will implement one-way systems, with public areas clearly marked to indicate direction of travel and safe distancing guidelines. Where a one-way system is not achievable, public areas may be split with physical barriers to allow for two way travel.
Across our properties, there will be clear signage to communicate the measures in place and staff members will monitor guest behaviour. Our staff will be required to wear face masks in public areas, and we would encourage our guests to do the same.
