Guidance for Leisure Members

In line with the latest guidance from Welsh Government, all our health clubs are now open once again. We have made some changes to our gym and swimming pool timetables to provide you with the greatest number of available sessions possible under our current safety protocols.

Please be advised that your terms of membership relating to peak and off-peak timings remain in place.

Details on our best practice procedures and enhanced safety measures can be found below:

  • Booking A Session

    To ensure reduced capacities are maintained to allow social distancing, members will need to book a 45-minute time slot to use the gym or the swimming pool on the Technogym Mywellness app.

    Gym and studio capacity will be managed by our leisure teams. Time slots can be booked up to 7 days in advance.

    You can download the MyWellness app from Google Play or your App Store and make sure you have your location finder on. You can then simply select the Celtic Manor Resort or Coldra Court facility and start booking your session online.

    Members may only book and attend sessions if they are symptom-free of COVID-19, are not in self-isolation, and have not been overseas in the past 14 days

  • Arriving at The Health Club

    Arrive for your pre-booked session no more than 5 minutes before your time slot. A member of the leisure team will greet you and encourage you to use the hand sanitising station before entering the club.

    Please bring your own pre-filled water bottle as water coolers will be removed.

    Members are required to wear a face mask on arrival and while checking in, but are not required to wear one while exercising.

  • Changing Rooms

    Changing rooms will be open for use of lockers, sinks and toilets, but saunas and steam rooms will remain closed at the present time.

    Shower facilities will only be available from 6.45am – 10.00am (Monday – Friday) at The Forum and Dylans Health Clubs, to assist members who wish to use the club on their way to work. 15 minute time slots for the shower facilities are available throughout the day for Springs Health Club members.

    Lockers keys have been removed and will be distributed on request at health club reception.

    Cleaning products are available for use in all changing rooms, and are positioned suitably above ground level to ensure small children cannot reach them. All baby and toddler play pens are currently unavailable.

  • Gyms

    We have set maximum occupancy limits to ensure that you can work out with all the space you need.

    Space has been reconfigured to allow for 2 metres between pieces of equipment to ensure social distancing and safe exercise.

    One-way walkways have been introduced and clear signage around the gym will remind members to socially distance. Our team are on hand to help.

    Water coolers have been removed so please bring you own pre-filled water bottle.

    Gym sessions must be pre-booked on the Technogym Mywellness app. This can be done up to 7 days in advance.

    Personal training is not available at the present time.

  • Enhanced Cleaning & Hygiene Protocols

    Our enhanced cleaning procedures will include thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all equipment in the gym between every session.

    All cleaning will be carried out with a disinfectant cleaner, certified to kill enveloped viruses within 60 seconds.

    Disinfectant, disposable paper towels, gym wipes and hand sanitisers are located across all gym areas, and we are asking all members to help keep our gyms safe by sanitising equipment before and after use.

    Hand sanitiser stations will be located around the club for everyone to use.

    Team members will wear face masks and other personal protective equipment where appropriate.

    Members are not required to wear a face mask but are welcome to do so if they would feel more comfortable.

  • Fitness Classes

    Our best-loved fitness classes are running with reduced capacities to allow for social distancing.

    All classes can be booked on the Mywellness app.

    Please note fitness classes are temporarily not available at Springs Health Club and will resume as soon as possible.

  • Swimming Pools

    Our swimming pools are now open to members and hotel residents, with a maximum number of swimmers in the pool at any one time to ensure you feel safe and comfortable in the water.

    We are asking swimmers to swim at 3-metre intervals to ensure social distancing is maintained.

    Swim sessions must be pre-booked on the Technogym Mywellness app. This can be done up to 7 days in advance.

    Poolside whirlpool baths are open but capacities will be limited to allow for social distancing. We are currently unable to open steam rooms and saunas.

    Towels can be taken to the poolside and be used in all wet areas and changing areas.

    Sun loungers are available at The Forum Pool and Springs Health Club pool, but should be kept 2 metres apart (unless occupied by members of the same household). Loungers will be cleaned and sanitised after every use.

    Equipment such as goggles, woggles and floats cannot be loaned out at the present time. Goggles and other swim equipment will be available for purchase from reception.

    Aqua classes are currently not available.

    Swimming lesson participants will be contacted separately.
