Short Game Practice Area

This fantastic facility features three pitching greens and three tees made from Huxley artificial turf, all with grass and artificial turf options meaning that the facility can be used for practice and tuition in all weathers throughout the year

Indoor Putting Laboratory

The Indoor Putting Studio gives every golfer the opportunity to have their most used club custom fitted to their own specification. We use cutting-edge technology designed by Science and Motion Sports to enhance your putting stroke, custom fit the correct putter for your game and help you to hole more putts.

Celtic Manor recognises everyone's game is unique and our team of qualified PGA teaching professionals can make sure your clubs suit your swing in state-of-the-art, custom-fit studios.

The leading names in golf club manufacture have kitted out the studios with their latest product including Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, PXG & Mizuno.

The Academy features Trackman Pro launch monitors which use radar technology to provide a complete statistical analysis of each shot. Trackman Pro has the capacity to analyse the club at impact, the ball flight and provide a whole host of invaluable statistics that our pros can use to determine the ideal club specification for each player.

Equipment specifically aligned to your golf swing is a major benefit in getting the most out of your game.

At the TaylorMade performance centre at Celtic Manor, golfers are guided through the fitting process using a “state-of-the-art” launch monitor to measure all of your launch parameters to find the best clubs to suit your game.

Using  industry leading adjustability we will optimise the performance of your newly fitted clubs, giving you more consistent and longer golf shots. Through the fitting experience you can expect to enjoy and improve your game with clubs individually specified for you.

Science and Motion

The Science and Motion (SAM) PuttLab is an incredible tool for helping you improve your putting stroke. The SAM PuttLab putting analysis and training system uses ultrasound sensory analysis technology to capture your key putting stroke parameters.

It measures and analyses the twenty-eight most important parameters of your putting stroke and displays the results in easy to understand comprehensive graphic reports, allowing you to discover your individual strengths and weaknesses for a better and more efficient training.

Within seconds the system gives us an individual feedback on your putting strokes. The analysis reveals even the smallest details of your movements and allows you to develop improvements and training strategies.

Because SAM PuttLab utilizes ultrasound sensory analysis, our PGA professionals can help you discover your individual strengths and weaknesses for an improved and more efficient putting stroke.

Trackman

Trackman uses the latest Doppler radar technology to monitor three-dimensional clubhead movement and the entire ball flight, from impact to landing.

Trackman not only measures the ball’s launch parameters more accurately, but also tracks the ball during its entire flight, displaying this on a computer monitor.

Trackman is used at the Golf Academy as a coaching and club-fitting tool. Golfers can experience the thrill of seeing their shots reproduced accurately on a computer screen, and the Academy's experienced coaches and equipment specialists can use this same accurate information to provide instruction and custom fitting.
