The Grill at the Celtic Manor Clubhouse: The Review

09 November 2015

Calling all foodie's! Fancy giving the washing up a miss tonight? Then head to the The Grill in the Celtic Manor Clubhouse. The Grill has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that's open to residents and non-residents alike. Their private sun terrace overlooks the Roman Road golf course that's perfect for '#Golfie' watching with a glass of Prosecco in the Summer. Or if you just fancy a coffee, there's plenty of log fires to cosy up next to in the cooler weather.

The Grill describes their restaurant as 'Relaxed informal dining, with honest and simple food.' The menu is made up of steaks, salads, burgers and pasta amongst other delicious delights.

For main course I would recommend the 8oz Beef Fillet Steak (£34.00). All of their steaks are cooked on a lava stone grill and served with fries, red onion and watercress salad. The steaks are 28 day aged from British-reared cattle. The peppercorn sauce is also not to be missed.

If you're fancying something other than steak the 8oz Welsh Lamb Rump (£22.00) is also pretty impressive

With two delicious courses down dessert might be a bit of a push, so how about a Liqueur Coffee? Available with a measure of Brandy, Irish Cream or Tia Maria. A great way to end a superb meal.

If you haven't eaten at The Grill yet then you really must. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is lovely. It's the perfect mid-week date night.
