#LightItBlue for the NHS at ICC Wales

03 April 2020

Like many iconic landmarks and event venues across the UK, we have been proud to #LightItBlue at our ICC Wales convention centre to show our support for the incredible work of the National Health Service at this unprecedented time.

Diolch yn fawr, thank you so much to all NHS staff and key workers for your courage and dedication fighting this COVID 19 pandemic. We will continue to light up every Thursday and join the #ClapForCarers applause to show our appreciation for your amazing endeavours.

We are also proud to join the effort by keeping our Coldra Court Hotel open for essential workers needing a room service stay, while all of our other facilities are in lockdown. We have also provided beds and linen for our friends at St Joseph's Hospital in Newport, and dozens of our workforce are helping out in administrative and support roles to assist their stretched resources under the current pressure.

Healthcare runs in the history of Celtic Manor as the original Manor House Hotel was, for much of the 20th Century, the Lydia Beynon Maternity Hospital. We salute the nurses of today and all their clinician colleagues for the amazing work they are doing #ThankYouNHS
