Paco Rabanne Supports Winning Team
The Celtic Manor Wales Open has secured a major boost with the announcement of Paco Rabanne as the latest official tournament sponsor.
The substantial new partnership was agreed as the build-up intensifies to this year’s tournament which tees off in just two weeks time on May 31. It will feature some of the biggest names in golf including Retief Goosen, the two-time US Open champion, and Colin Montgomerie, the European No 1 on eight occasions.
Paco Rabanne, the male fragrance, is part of the Puig fashion group which embraces other celebrated brands such as Prada, Nina Ricci and Payot, the French beauty house which is the presenting sponsor at Ladies Day of The Celtic Manor Wales Open on Saturday June 2.
The new partner joins a prestigious list of existing official tournament sponsors including Payot, Rolex, Stratstone and Scottish Courage.
Tournament Director Jon Phelps said: “We are delighted to welcome on board Paco Rabanne as the newest sponsor of The Celtic Manor Wales Open.
“We are greatly indebted to the support of our sponsors. With their help The Celtic Manor has become one of the top 10 events on the European Tour and is able to attract the highest calibre of players.
“Securing another prestigious brand like Paco Rabanne is another enormous boost for the event and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
Paco Rabanne, the legendary French fashion designer, launched his first perfume for men in 1973 and it became one of the world's best-selling male fragrances.
Robert McClatchie, Managing Director of Puig UK, said: “We are very excited to be launching into the golf market at The Celtic Manor Wales Open.
“Not only is the tournament one of the biggest on the calendar, it also makes a big statement off the course with surrounding events and attractions like Ladies Day which capture the spirit of the Paco Rabanne range.
“Paco Rabanne has become a timeless classic with men of different generations, tastes and lifestyles continuing to identify with a fragrance that transcends style trends.”
