Welcome to Suite Talking
Welcome to Suite Talking, the new blog from the Celtic Manor Resort. We have so much going on here at Celtic Manor that we felt it was high time we created this blog to share more of it with you.
The feedback from our Social Media sites tells us that you love a little look behind the scenes here at the resort, so hopefully this blog will give you another insight into everything we do.
I'll be writing a regular “Backspin” post to keep you up-to-date with a lot of what’s happening but there will also be other faces from across the resort featuring in our “This Month I’ll Be Mostly...” and “A Day In The Life Of” categories. To start us off, Director of Golf Courses Jim McKenzie tells us about the busy February he’ll be facing after some challenging wet weather.
We’ll also be inviting expert opinions from outside the resort in our “What They Say” guest blog. Cardiff food blogger Bev Downes, from the Eats for Wales website, launches this section with her review and photos of Sunday lunch at one of our restaurants.
We also welcome celebrities to the resort on a regular basis and we’ll be putting some of them under the spotlight by including them on the “Guest List”. Flavia Cacace, the recently crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion with celebrity partner Louis Smith, tells us how much she’d like to return for a relaxing spa break after a whirlwind overnight stay which included a photo-shoot and teaching a dance class.
One of our regular visitors, resort ambassador Martyn Williams, kicks off our “Out and About” section on local events with an assessment of the chances of his former Wales team-mates in the upcoming Six Nations rugby tournament.
We’ll make telling you “What’s New” as colourful as possible with our “Caught on Camera” videos and photographs, and in due course we’ll pass on some recipes from our kitchens and tips from our golf pros.
We hope you enjoy this blog and please let us know what you think in the Comments section. If you like what you see, you can also sign up for the RSS feed for regular updates when new content hits the blog.
