Last Saturday we hosted our first ever blogger event at The Celtic Manor Resort, an exclusive preview of our Christmas Afternoon Tea, full of festive tasty treats and mulled wine. The blogger’s who attended were greeted with a glass of bubbles followed by a presentation from the marketing team and Karl our Pastry Chef, who explained more about the inspiration behind our new Christmas Afternoon Tea Menu before tucking in to the festive delights. It was a fantastic day full of Christmas spirit and plenty of photo opportunities, take a look below at just some of the pictures from the event as well as quotes from some of the attendees reviews.
Thanks to all the fantastic bloggers who joined us at #MyCelticXmas, we look forward to more events like this in the future!
Emily - Mermaid Gossip
"Today will officially be known as the day Christmas began. I have had such a wonderful day, full to the brim of festive goodness, cakes galore and mulled Pimms! I am feeling so festive right now, and it’s all thanks to the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, and their #MyCelticXmas blogger Christmas Afternoon Tea. It may only be mid November, but I am well ready for the festivities to begin, I want to make Christmas last as long as possible this year!"
Jessica - Lovely Jubbly Blog" We were greeted with festive decor, Christmas music (love a bit of Buble) and of course, champagne and mulled wine - which was hands down the best mulled wine I have ever tasted. Plus it came in a clear teapot with a cute tea cosy too - which of course, we all had to take photographs of."
Megan - The Briar Rose Blog - " It was all delightfully festive (I loved how they incorporated pretty pastels in with the traditional Christmas colours!) and absolutely delicious, however my favourites had to be the miniature brioche with prawns Marie Rose, the Caerphilly cheese and leek tartlet, the white chocolate Christmas pudding truffle, the toasted sweet chestnut bouche Noel, and the glacé cherry and apricot Florentine."
Leanne - asliceofmylifewales
"As if they hadn't already spoilt us enough The Celtic Manor also provided us each with a lovely goody bag containing the cutest cinnamon biscuit with the hashtag for the event hand piped onto it, unfortunately mine was knocked in my bag and a bit of the icing fell off, but you get the picture. They also gave us some Elemis products from their spa."
