Succulent speciality steaks will be the stars of the show
when an exciting new restaurant pops up at Celtic Manor for three nights only.
Meat@Celtic will take over the resort’s Rafters restaurant
in the Twenty Ten Clubhouse for dinner bookings from November 12-14.
The pop-up restaurant and its limited edition menu will feature
some of the finest cuts of meat including a starter of Iberico ham carved at
the table, and main courses of water buffalo rump and a 28-day matured sharing steak
dish, served on a warming terracotta tile.
While delicious steaks and high-quality meat are very much
the theme, a Moroccan-spiced monkfish fillet and a risotto of vegetable and
poached hen’s egg will also be served. With more than a dash of kitchen
theatre, Meat@Celtic promises to be a gourmet dining experience that
steak-loving foodies will not want to miss.
Set in the clubhouse which played host to the 2010 Ryder
Cup, the pop-up is another exciting dining addition to the resort’s collection
of six restaurants, which include the fine-dining Terry M and the Newbridge on
Usk, which was recently listed in the prestigious Good Food Guide 2016.
Meat@Celtic also presents a fantastic opportunity for diners
to tantalise their taste buds for the next permanent addition to Celtic Manor’s
culinary collection… Steak on Six. This
new restaurant will open in a spectacular setting on the sixth floor of the
Resort Hotel in December and feature signature steaks from around the British
Celtic Manor Resort Marketing Director Vanessa Russell said:
“We are always looking at different ways to innovate our restaurant offering for
hotel guests and local residents alike.
“Meat@Celtic is a limited availability dining experience
that food lovers won’t want to miss and the perfect opportunity to showcase some
of what will be available in our new premium dining restaurant, Steak on Six,
when it launches later this year.”
Meat@Celtic will be the resort’s third pop-up restaurant
venture. Celtic Manor popped up in Cardiff with a popular burger and seafood
menu at Hide’n’Sea in Pontcanna in November 2012, and Masterchef finalists Dale
Williams and Larkin Cen launched their Hokkei Asian fusion cuisine with similar
sell-out success at the resort in 2013.
The Meat@Celtic experience costs £39.95 for three courses including
a signature cocktail on arrival. The pop-up restaurant sold out within 48 hours of going on sale. Find out more about the upcoming Steak on Six restaurant here.
