Halfpenny falls for Hunter Lodges

Category: Suite Treats, What's New

Wales and British Lions superstar Leigh Halfpenny has fallen for the charms of the new Hunter Lodges as he continues his recuperation from the dislocated shoulder that has ended his rugby season early.

Leigh is spending a couple of days in one of the Hunter Lodges with a group of friends and has been bowled over by the quality of the new accommodation at Celtic Manor.

"They're just absolutely unbelievable," said the goalkicker supreme. "They just feel so homely, you feel you can just relax and rest up.

"It's great to be able to spend time with your friends in an environment like this. We've all had a fantastic time here. The views over the Twenty Ten Course are just phenomenal."

The Hunter Lodges, which opened in March, all boast four double bedrooms, spacious lounge and dining areas, a fitted kitchen, private sauna and outdoor hot-tub.

Leigh, who was player of the tournament in both the Six Nations and the Lions series in 2013, has been sidelined since dislocating his shoulder making a try-saving tackle against England.

Rest and recuperation in the Hunter Lodges has been a welcome distraction as he continues rehabilitation training with the Cardiff Blues ahead of a summer move to Toulon in France.
