Connected Capital Region is Open for Business

Category: #CanDoNews, Events, News

The Celtic Manor Resort and Newport are now part of a connected Cardiff Capital Region which offers a huge variety of venues, attractions and spaces to hold your next business event.

Whether it is a meeting, a conference, an incentive or an exhibition, there are plenty of quirky, historic, modern and purpose built venues that can cater for your every need.

More than 40,000 hotel bedrooms are also available in the region to cope with the accommodation demands of the largest events.

Attracting more than 18 million visitors per year, Cardiff is a young and vibrant capital city offering contemporary arts, high street and bespoke fashion, and indulgent eateries.

World-class stadia, venues and hotels in South Wales play host to major international events, most notably the 2010 Ryder Cup (244,000 visitors), the Ashes Series (80,000 visitors), six FA Cup finals and, of course, international rugby matches.

Newport boasts the historic stately home at Tredegar House, industrial heritage like the Transporter Bridge, and modern redevelopments like the Friars Walk shopping centre and the Riverfront Theatre.

Celtic Manor will be among the venues celebrating all that South Wales has to offer at a #MeetCardiffCapitalRegion event in London's Pall Mall on St David’s Day, 1st March.

Celtic Manor's award-winning Convention Centre is purpose-built for everything from board meetings to major residential conferences.  At its heart is the 1200-delegate Caernarfon Suite, with adjoining pre-function areas and world-class technical facilities, and an additional 24 syndicate and meeting rooms, ranging from those seating ten boardroom style to the Beaumaris Suite, accommodating up to 170 for conferences.

In addition, the Resort also features an historic 19th century Manor House offering a choice of meeting and function rooms with a country house ambience, and The Celtic Manor Golf Club, one of Europe’s largest and most luxurious golf clubhouses, offering conference and banqueting suites and function rooms for private dining.

Celtic Manor has also gained full planning permission for a new Wales International Convention Centre which will be a key asset to the Cardiff Capital Region and secure many more major events, the benefits  from which will spill right across the area.
