Celtic Manor struck Gold at the National Tourism Awards for Wales 2015, winning the first prize for Best Business Tourism.
Following a memorable 12 months during which it staged the NATO Summit, Celtic Manor won the award in recognition of its excellent facilities and expertise in hosting conferences and events.
The resort also picked up a couple of Silver awards after being judged runner-up in the Best Place to Stay (Hotel) and Tourism Skills Development categories.
After receiving the Gold at the awards ceremony at the Vale Resort, Celtic
Manor Resort Chief Executive Ian Edwards said:
We are delighted to win a
National Tourism Award for Wales, especially following such an important year
when we partnered with the Welsh and UK Governments to host the 2014 NATO Summit.
Celtic Manor is proud to be a landmark tourist destination for Wales, but
winning an award like this is a fantastic endorsement for the work we do. The
National Tourism Awards for Wales are a wonderful showcase for the Welsh
tourism industry and it is an honour to win one of these awards with so many
excellent finalists shortlisted.
