There is nothing quite like a classic 'Girls’ Day Out' and today we have a review from Amy Williams who recently visited the Forum Spa for a much needed birthday treat with her friends from London.
“Having heard a lot of fantastic things about the Celtic Manor it was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of London living and swap it for a little spa indulgence. We were really surprised that it only took us two hours to travel to Celtic Manor from London, which was great as we were expecting it to take a lot longer. The day was packed full with spa and catching up, followed by afternoon tea and a tour of the resort. Once we had checked into the spa and changed into our luxuriously fluffy robes we waited for our therapists to come and collect us. I chose the Lava Shells treatment which was very relaxing and my therapist Rhiannon was amazing! My friend Victoria had a fantastic Signature Massage from Debbie, who was also lovely and very professional.
Some of the girls also had the Lava Shell treatment, as well as the signature massage which was slightly more tailored to suit their needs. After all of our individual treatments were done we finished off with a Herbal Steam Temple, which was something we all really enjoyed. The Herbal Steam Temple is an ancient cleansing ritual, which was actually very fun, as we didn't really know what to expect. Elemis products were placed on a lovely piece of Welsh slate, it felt like a beauty tardis!
After some serious spa indulgence we moved onto Autumn Afternoon Tea, which was delicious. The blackberry and vanilla scones and hot Pimm’s were a definite favourite between me and the girls. After we had finished our afternoon tea, we ended our day by visiting the Hunter Lodges, which offered us a total sense of escapism… the views were out of this world.
Overall, we all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend a girls’ day out at the Celtic Manor.”
