About ISPS Handa Wales Open

The ISPS Handa Wales Open at the Celtic Manor Resort has grown into one of the premier events on The European Tour since its inception in 2000.

Ryder Cup stars Graeme McDowell, Robert Karlsson, Miguel Angel Jiménez, Ian Poulter, Paul Lawrie and Paul McGinley are among the past champions and France's Gregory Bourdy claimed the £300,000 first prize in 2013. 

Played on the Twenty Ten Course which staged Wales' first Ryder Cup in 2010, the tournament also kicked off the race for qualification for the 2014 Ryder Cup.

The ISPS Handa Wales Open is broadcast worldwide with live tournament coverage on Sky TV covering 160 million households across the globe. Substantial highlights programmes also feature on Sky and BBC Wales broadcasts highlights on the final two days of the Championship.

Worldwide coverage of the ISPS Handa Wales Open includes live coverage on The Golf Channel in the USA and Canada, reaching more than 83 million homes in North America.

Substantial live broadcasts are also transmitted by television stations across Europe, and in more than 30 countries worldwide including South Africa, China, Japan, Australia, India and the Middle East.

Volunteer at ISPS Handa Wales Open

There will be a variety of roles for Marshals from carrying a match scoreboard to supervising the spectator rope line. 

The role will involve lots of walking and would suit a keen golfer.
