In professional golf tournaments the competitors have access to live leaderboards and therefore know what they need to do to win. In every sport we aspire to play like the pros and in the past the only thing from preventing us from doing so in golf was the lack of technology. Now with VPAR you now don’t need to be a European Tour golfer in order to have access to live leaderboards on your corporate golf day, club championship, monthly medal, pro / amateur or ProAm tournament.
Having a live leaderboard at hand helps you to decide when you can afford to lay up or go for the green in two, to play it safe off the tee or reach for the driver! Never before have golfers played competitive golf and known what each putt means.
Online Exposure
The reach of a golf day is no longer limited to the players and spectators on the day. VPAR leaderboards are posted live online so that friends and colleagues can follow players progress over the internet as the competition unfolds. Prior to the event the leaderboard link is sent to all competitors so that they can view information about the event and to make it as simple as possible for them to forward onto their network.
Using their personal and business networks players forward the leaderboard web link virally to friends and colleagues who log onto the action in real time. Often event organizers send this link onto other clients and colleagues to create interest and further exposure.
After the event the competitors return to the web link to analyse their scores, review statistics and view photos of the event.
