The Celtic Manor Resort strongly believes that in order to achieve its ambition of “Exceeding Expectations, Winning Loyalty”, it must first exceed the expectations and win the loyalty of its employees.
In 2014, the resort invested in its in-house Celtic College by creating a dedicated learning and development team tasked with developing a ‘Talent Management Route’ (TMR) for all its current and future employees.
To change the shape of training by establishing ourselves as a recognised training centre for the hospitality sector. We want to engage and empower our employees to draw out their own career paths by creating a Talent Management Route. This route will allow employees to up-skill themselves and achieve recognised qualifications within hospitality, which will enable them to move up within the ranks across and beyond The Celtic Manor Resort.
By creating a Talent Management Route, our mission is to ensure that all staff from casual to full-time, develop and acquire the correct skill sets aligned to the AA standards of hospitality in order to deliver first class service to ALL by exceeding expectations and winning the loyalty of both our team and our guests.
To achieve this, the Celtic College will become a brand in its own right, with recognised qualifications that employees can use to aid them in advancement within the resort or elsewhere within the hospitality sector. By focusing on our people we aim to ALIGN, LEAD & INSPIRE.
